So many of you have said you’re shopping small this Christmas (hoorah!) and have already started your shopping… bonus points if you’ve nearly finished yours too! However, there are always a few that you’re unsure what to buy. You know the ones: the friend who seems to have everything, the aunt who gets drunk at the family party every year, the one person who has a birthday either side of Christmas. Whoever that person is, you need to think a bit harder into what they might like. I’ve rounded up some of those ‘awkward to buy for’ people into the Christmas gift guide - the Kelham Print way.
For the Drinks Lover
Many of us like a tipple over Christmas/New Year because it gets us through a very busy social calendar! Show off your drink of choice with a T-shirt or sweatshirt. From cocktails to prosecco, wine to spirits, hopefully there’s your favourite in there! I’ve even got an eggnog design for those traditionalists out there. You could get your friends their favourite to wear for your festive gatherings!
For the Christmas Dinner Chef
Whoever is in charge of Christmas dinner in your household needs an apron! Whether it’s their first attempt at hosting (like mine!) or they’re seasoned at the job, showing everyone who’s boss means business. Perhaps you know a Christmas baker who specializes in gingerbread houses or mince pies? I’m sure they’d love their own themed apron too!
For the Overpacker
We’ve all got that one friend who packs the kitchen sink wherever you go. An oversized tote bag would be the perfect gift, just in case they need another bag. It’s perfect for overnight stays, shopping days and as a second catch-all bag for longer trips. I always keep a spare one in my bag at all times to save having to buy carrier bags anytime I’m out of the house!
For the Organised One
Who’s got a friend or family member who has the neatest house and life? If you don’t, it’s probably you. How about getting them a new make-up bag or pouch so their handbag can be as organised as their life is? I use my pouches for everything, whether I’m on a day trip or travelling around for longer.
For the Trendy One
Everyone has that one friend who is on it when it comes to anything trending. They’ll be the one who’s watched everything new released on Netflix the day it comes out. Celebrate their love of pop culture with a themed T-shirt or sweater. With designs from popular shows such as Line of Duty, Schitts Creek, Ru Paul and Bridgerton on the site, you can pick their favourite show!
For the Christmas-obsessed Friend
We all know that one person who’s had their decorations up since the 1st of November and finished their shopping during the summer? That person deserves to be crowned as the Queen of Christmas with a sweatshirt to match! Don’t forget to personalise it with their birth year too, just to let everyone know they’ve been Queen since day one.
For the Foodie
When you reach adulthood, one of the best things about Christmas is the food, especially if you aren’t in charge of cooking this year! Show your enthusiasm for family gatherings by wearing your ‘here for the food’ T-shirt. Now get stuck in and don’t forget to leave room for dessert and all those Christmas chocolates!
For the Nostalgia
Where are my millennials at? We just love a bit of nostalgia, whether it’s TV, movies or music. What better time of year to celebrate that than at Christmas time? We’ve got a spin on a Destiny’s Child classic, a nod to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and an ode to everyone’s favourite 00s cheerleaders from Bring It On!
For the Parents
If you’re making your kids a Christmas Eve box this year (I love these for adults too), a new pair of personalised pyjamas or a babygrow will go down a treat! What child doesn’t love their own name on something? Just think of how cute those Christmas Day pics will be! I even have a few designs on T-shirts and sweatshirts of mini-me versions so you could all match on the big day!
For the Teacher
Before the end of term, you’ll need to get a present for your kid’s teachers (or your teacher friends). Instead of getting them the usual stationery, chocolate and flowers, how about a teacher tote bag to put all those Christmas presents in? They’ll probably be thankful when they’ve forgotten something to put everything in!
Well, I think I’ve fit as many categories in there as I could so that completes the Christmas gift guide - the Kelham Print way. Thank you as ever for shopping small this Christmas and remember... please try to shop early. Every year, Royal Mail has delays so despite sending everything via the 24 hour service, sometimes parcels take a bit of extra time to reach you… here’s hoping for a Christmas miracle!
